Great Burial Reef® is authorized to place the 600 pound Ocean Cremation Urn™ in the reef site located near all of the locations below, based on permits from multiple federal, state and local governmental authorities. Each of our reef locations is also an ocean port of call for our Family Witness Services.

Selecting the best location
Selecting a location for your loved one’s final resting place is up to you. Families frequently ask us to help them choose a location and our response is always the same. The choice is yours, and we’re happy to accommodate requests for any location. Often times, the location families choose is based on prior visits to the area, special memories, or a specific tie to the area. Sometimes it’s based on your loved one’s specific request. Regardless of the reason, each of our reef sites provides a life-creating sanctuary for your loved one, and each of our ocean ports of call offer unique seaside community charm.
Each of our locations was chosen first based on the need for artificial reef material. Then we chose ports of call for our optional Family Witness Services based on availability of parking, nearby restaurants, hotels, and attractions – most families who go to sea with us make a mini-vacation out of the experience, and local amenities become important.
The geography, ocean depth, and even the marine life itself vary from location to location, but one thing rings true at all our ocean reef sites – they are surrounded by progressive marine life, and they all offer us a way to help your family find closure through a Great Burial Reef® Life Celebration.
